Recently, we tested the purchase process of systems from a Chinese manufacturer that is gaining popularity, partly due to its attractive price and availability on popular sales platforms. Purchase Process and Our Impressions

Initially, we wanted to order equipment directly through a consultant, but email communication proved to be quite challenging – some messages were unclear to us (likely translated using an online translator), and responses came with significant delays, which greatly prolonged the entire purchase process. We also had several additional questions, not just technical ones. We wanted to know if the company offered warranty and post-warranty service in case of equipment failure. We expected it to be in another country, so we also asked about covering potential shipping costs. The seller did not provide a specific answer, only recommending email contact
in case of device malfunctions.

Despite providing our details and repeated requests, we did not receive an invoice for a long time, which prevented us from making the transfer. Therefore, we decided to order the equipment directly from one of Poland’s most popular sales platforms. According to the message on the website, delivery from the European warehouse was supposed to take 2-3 business days, but the waiting time was significantly extended. It turned out that the model we selected was shipped from a different location, and we had to wait about 10 days for it. No one informed us about this before the purchase. In the received package, we found properly secured, complete, and ready-to-use devices. However, the box lacked a user manual in Polish
and detailed technical specifications.

What to Look for When Buying a Tour Guide System?

• Purchase methods and customer service – it is worth choosing systems available both online and through a consultant, with support in several languages – this facilitates contact and quick problem resolution.
• Warehouse and service availability – enables fast delivery and easy access to repairs, minimizing downtime. Information about after-sales service and support should be very specific and clearly stated on the website or
  in correspondence with the client.
• Documentation in multiple languages – manuals and technical specifications in a language understandable to the user help to use the equipment correctly and avoid errors, and online manuals facilitate working with tour guide systems during trips.
• Option to test before purchase – free equipment rental for testing allows you to ensure it meets user needs and avoid an unsuitable purchase.

Chinese tour guide systems can be a seemingly interesting, and above all, cheaper alternative for clients with a lower budget. However, one must be aware of the accompanying limitations and risks – both concerning customer service, after-sales care, and equipment functionality and lifespan. It is worth investing in proven and popular models from reputable manufacturers. If receivers are missing during an event, they can easily be borrowed from friends or a dealer.
