The visitor receives the device at the entrance. The commentary starts automatically – via an infrared marker at the exhibit – or manually, by entering the number assigned to a specific location. The content is played in the language chosen by the visitor.

The difference between an audioguide system and a tourguide system

Although the names sound similar, these are two completely different technologies serving different purposes.

Audioguide (Automatic Audio Guide)

It allows playing ready-made, pre-recorded commentaries (lessons, stories, descriptions). The visitor explores the object individually, at their own pace, and the device automatically (or after entering a number) plays the appropriate audio file. An audioguide system replaces the physical presence of a guide.

Tourguide (System for a Guide)

The devices enable real-time voice transmission. The system consists of a transmitter with a microphone (for the guide) and receivers with headphones (for the audience). A tourguide system ensures that the group clearly hears the guide's words in a noisy environment or open space, without the guide having to raise their voice.
